Two years as a mental health volunteer taught me to listen before I plan.
At Dear Camelia (2021 – 2023) I supported people reaching out in distress, and later led the moderator team. That work built two skills I use every day in operations: empathy and active listening, hearing what's actually being said rather than what I expect to hear.
